Plenty of different areas to sit in. Very dog friendly (I had 22 small dogs with me). Carvery was good value. Plenty of parking and public bridle paths for walks. Good location for sea and country. Paperback selection available.
Thought £75 a bit pricey for single occupancy. Only filter coffee available.

Fine old building, spacious car parks, well-maintained garden area
Rooms in desperate need of updating!!! Awkward bathroom situations and confusing payment issues create unnecessary frustration!!!

Breakfast service was pleasant.
Service was not great. We asked for a desert menu that never appeared. Bar was quite noisy if you required an early night. On check out I had to remind them that I had already paid a deposit. It could definately do it with a lick of paint. Food served was average and salad served at the salad bar did not look fresh. Conflicting information in the rooms about Breakfast service times with regards to Breakfast actually being served.

Peace & quiet. When you have found it (!) it was a pleasure to sit outside in the late evening and 'hear' nothing. Owner, manager, staff and the locals very friendly. Withoout a doubt if in the area again will head for the Countryrman.
Just the fish pie which required Sherlock Holmes to find the fish! To be fair the manager agreed and no charge was made. No doubt the chef has been 'advised'.

The Countryman Inn offers a charming, rustic decor with wooden beams. The staff were helpful.
Improve signage for easier navigation inside the inn.

My stay was just what I was looking for, informal, comfortable and relaxing. All the staff were more than helpful and incredibly nice. I would like to mention one particular person, but that would not be possible as everyone was lovely. The owner of the establishment made me feel at ease.
